The invention of the piano, dated in 1709, belongs to the Italian Bartolomeo Christopher, at the time he was a creator of musical instruments. This instrument was called the col piano e forte gravicembalo. The difference between piano and Italian on harpsichord, is determined by the intensity pressing flaps which had resulted in changes in volume and duration of sound.
Bach, Mozart and Haydn were the first composers who have created areas for piano. They were followed by Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Schumann, Brahms.
Subsequently, the creator of English John Broadwood (1732-1812), is one who has managed to tone sounding a note at the piano now allowing rapid repetition of a tone. In 1930 was developed and electric piano.
Today, only two existing models of piano Christopher are displayed in New York at the Museum of Arts.

Huygens’s pendulum clock had an error of less than one minute per day, the most powerful time clock. Through several improvements to the operating mechanism of the clock, Huygens was able to bring it to an error of less than 10 seconds per day.
